Bang Bang Shrimp


Another popular restaurant dish that I learned to make at home! Crispy shrimp with a spicy sauce!

Ingredients

  • 1 pound large peeled and deveined shrimp

  • 1/2 cups mayo

  • 1/4 cups sweet thai chili sauce

  • 1/4 cups sriracha

  • 1.5 cups corn starch

  • 2 teaspoons soy sauce

  • 2 tablespoons beaten eggs

  • splash of heavy cream or half & half

  • 1/2 teaspoons garlic powder

  • 1/2 teaspoons salt

  • 1/2 teaspoons black pepper

  • 1 green onion, chopped, for garnish

Instructions

  1. Combine eggs and heavy cream
  2. Combine corn starch, garlic powder, salt, and pepper
  3. Dip shrimp into the egg mixture then into the corn starch mixture coating evenly, and place on a baking rack. Spritz with a small amount of olive oil or cooking spray
  4. Preheat Oven to 400°F
  5. Mix together mayo, sriracha, soy sauce, and sweet chili sauce.
  6. Bake or Air Fry shrimp at 400ºF for 6 minutes. Turn them over, spritz with oil again and cook an additional 2 minutes.
  7. combine with sauce and garnish with green onion
