Sausage Wontons


A family favorite from a restaurant that has closed. Sausage and cream cheese in a crispy air fried wonton wrapper.

Ingredients

  • 1 pound Sausage (Hot or Italian)

  • 1 Package Wonton wrappers

  • 6.5 ounces Cream Cheese

  • 1 Small Onion

  • 1/4 cups Parmesan Cheese

  • 1/2 teaspoons Garlic Powder

  • 1/2 teaspoons Worcestershire Sauce

Instructions

  1. Cook Sausage Fully. Crumble into small pieces while cooking. Remove from pan and drain.
  2. Cook onion in same pan until soft.
  3. Add cooked sausage back into pan along with the add garlic powder and Worcestershire Sauce. Mix well, then allow to cool.
  4. In a bowl combine sausage mixture and the cheeses.
  5. Place 3/4 tablespoon of sausage mixture in the middle of a wonton wrapper. Paint edges of wonton wrapper with egg yolk (or water). Fold and seal into a triangle with egg yolk or water. Ensure all air is pressed out as you seal the wonton wrappers.
  6. Air Fry or bake in oven at 350 degrees for 8 minutes flipping once halfway through cooking time. You may also choose to fry these in oil (45 seconds-1 minute).
